With the ninth season finale of CSI bearing down on fans, many are wondering what sort of cliffhanger the drama will deliver. To find out, TV Guide talked to actor Wallace Langham, who plays David Hodges on the series. He said the self-contained episode will feature Laurence Fishburne’s Raymond Langston in danger:

“You see him put into some situations that are new for him, as far as being out in the field and having to deal with perpetrators.”

What about Hodges? He gets to stay in the lab, as usual.

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” will have a sort-of-crossover episode with “Battlestar Galactica” next Thursday, April 16. Called “A Space Oddity”, the episode sees Hodges and Wendy running into each other at a science fiction convention for one of their favorite classic television shows. They end up investigating the murder of one of their beloved actors.

Speaking more about the episode was executive producer Naren Shankar who said “It’s about a murder at a science fiction convention. Hodges (Wallace Langham) and Wendy (Liz Vassey) re-enacting scenes from a campy - and entirely fictional - 1960’s era sci-fi TV show.” BSG star Kate Vernon will play Dr. Penelope Russell along with the show’s creator Ronald D. Moore who plays himself.

The episode is written by David Weddle and Bradley Thompson, who previously wrote an episode for BSG. Occasional BSG director Michael Nanking will sit in as the helmer. Weddle previously mentioned that there would be “other surprise cameos for sci-fi fans.”

Nick’s case of a deceased skydiver takes an interesting turn when Catherine discovers there may be a connection between the skydiver and a mysterious double murder case.

Liza Weil (Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls) will be guest starring in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on CBS on April 16th.

The episode, entitled “A Space Oddity”, follows as Hodges and Wendy get involved in a murder investigation at a science fiction convention for one of their favorite classic television shows. The murder is of one of their beloved actors.

In the episode, Liza Weil will guest star as Risa Varness, though as yet there’s no clue as to what her role will be. Other guest stars for the episode include Kate Vernon (Battlestar Galactica) and Jaime Ray Newman (Stargate Atlantis).

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” will celebrate its 200th episode on April 2, and a preview for the monumental event has been released. Called “Mascara”, the episode is helmed by Academy Awards and Golden Globe Award-winning director William Friedkin (”The Exorcist”).

A murder takes place in the world of Mexican wrestling and the CSIs must solve the crime. The team has to enter the world of Luche Libre to catch the killer of the victim which turns out to be one of Langston’s former students.

Friedkin had previously directed another “CSI” episode in 2007 called “Cockroaches”. It teamed him up with screenwriter Dustin Lee Abraham who happens to also write for “Mascara”. Additionally, executive producer Naren Shankar is also involved in the scriptwriting.

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Battlestar Galactica” merge has been reported by Chicago Tribune in late February, but new details confirming the sort-of-crossover have just been unearthed. The April 16 episode of “CSI” will have “a bit of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ vibe to it,” CSI executive producer Naren Shankar confirmed.

“It’s about a murder at a science fiction convention,” he said further. “Hodges (Wallace Langham) and Wendy (Liz Vassey) re-enacting scenes from a campy - and entirely fictional - 1960’s era sci-fi TV show.”

In the episode called “A Space Oddity”, BSG star Kate Vernon will play an undisclosed role along with the show’s creator Ronald D. Moore. The episode is written by David Weddle and Bradley Thompson, who previously wrote an episode for BSG. Occasional BSG director Michael Nanking will sit in as the helmer.

Weddle also mentioned previously that there would be “other surprise cameos for sci-fi fans.”

The long wait is shortened, Taylor Swift’s episode in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” is coming next week. On March 5, the country singer will portray a girl named Haley Jones who had formed a rather close bond with Nick while she was still alive. The preview of the episode is using Swift’s song “You’re Not Sorry” which is found in her second studio album “Fearless“.

Presented in flashbacks, the episode follows the happenings of a seedy motel’s inhabitants over the course of a year. The CSIs are called to a few too many cases to be coincidence and one CSI in particular finds himself becoming emotionally involved.

Nick, according to a spoiler from EW’s Michael Ausiello, will find out about her death on his birthday. Nick “breaks down at the end, thinking he could have prevented her death if only he had tried harder on those other cases.”

Taylor Swift had declared previously to CBS’ Katie Couric that enrolling in the show is a dream comes true. She even gets a compliment from Greg depicter Eric Szmanda who told E!, “She did a great job! She kind of transformed herself; she’s not giving people Taylor Swift; she’s giving them the character. I think this will be the first of many roles for her.”
